Winery
Chateau Palmer is located in the famous wine village of Margaux in the Medoc region of Bordeaux, France. It was rated as a third-class (3eme cru classe) in the 1855 Classification of Medoc. The vineyard is planted with 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot, with an average age of 38 years. Château Penmar is known for its elegant and delicate tannins, and unique and complex bouquet, which is highly recognizable. “Wine Emperor” Robert Parker once praised, “Blind taste the wine of Penmar Estate in a good year, you don’t have to drink it, you can tell it by smelling the wine.”
Wine
Alter Ego de Palmer 2006 has an earthy bouquet, with a Saint-Estèphe-like aroma. Medium-bodied, with sour red cherry fruit, spicy and harmonious, with a black, structured, tobacco-colored finish that lingers in the mouth for a long time.
